Lisa Matthias Lisa Matthias is a research associate at the University of Ottawa and the RWTH Aachen University Library.

Her research focuses on the economics of open access publishing, including article processing charge (APC) markets and journal transitions away from open access models.

She is part of the Volkswagen-funded ROARA project and the DFG-funded project OASA, where she analyzes publisher revenue streams, transformative agreements, and future scenarios for the academic publishing ecosystem.
